Case Study - How Systemic Harmony and Energetic Operations Increased Sales by 54%

Case study: This is how you future-proof your business with clarity, resonance, and emotional coherence. I'm not new to this, I'm true to this. In my case study I discuss how I increased sales by 54% back in 2014 for The Austin American Statesman's advertising department. This is the foundational work I've been building for more than a decade.

At the Austin American-Statesman, I didn’t fill a traditional role, I created a new one that the team had never seen before.

What began as an advertising and sales support position became the birthplace of my proprietary framework: Energetic Operations Consulting and Systemic Harmonization.

The Statesman was a legacy brand and newspaper, a 100+ year-old institution adapting to the digital landscape.

I was part of their digital marketing team. It was new, fast-moving, and severely under-resourced.

I quickly noticed what others couldn’t name: the root issue wasn’t just a training and headcount gap. It was an energetic fragmentation. The team wasn’t broken, they were misaligned. And the system was too.

The Problem

As the Statesman introduced digital advertising to its traditional print sales team, confusion and fear flooded the ecosystem.

• Sales reps were used to tangible ads, paper they could touch. The digital landscape felt invisible, intimidating, and misunderstood.

• Product education was inconsistent and rushed.

• Sales reps began selling products that didn’t exist, which created billing errors, communication breakdowns, and client confusion.

• Operational coordinators bore the brunt. I witnessed support staff crying from the stress of holding together a system that was never designed to support them.

Burnout wasn’t just a side effect, it was the signal that change was needed.

The system wasn’t coherent, and the fear was contagious.

The Solution

I approached the challenge like an Energetic Operations Consultant before I even had the words for it. I created a new role for myself and I thrived in it.

I tuned into the misalignments across people, processes, and perceptions.

I created a new role for myself that aligned operations, sales, support, and leadership without needing to “fix” any one person.

I acted as a Systemic Harmonizer, decoding unseen patterns and realigning them into a more coherent whole.

What I did:

- Reviewed sales requests to our digital vendor and found systemic errors

- Rebuilt how sales reps completed their RFPs and educated them on proper processes

- Became the only support staff invited on client calls: in client-facing meetings I translated complex digital offerings into simple solutions.

- Wrote and distributed two ebooks one for clients (external-facing display ad menu), and one for staff (internal training on workflow, booking, billing, and reporting)

- Created weekly newsletters to reinforce digital product knowledge

- Trained and mentored both sales reps and coordinators, reducing errors and increasing confidence across teams

The result?

  • Display ad sales increased by 54.5% in 2014

  • Billing errors dropped

  • Team morale improved

  • New internal roles were created from the additional revenue

The entire energy of the department changed because I tuned the system, not just the symptoms.

Final Thoughts

What some call sales enablement or creative direction, I now understand as resonance and coherence architecture.

The work I did wasn’t about adding more training, it was about restoring coherence to a fractured system.

That’s the power of combining Energetic Operations with Systemic Harmonization.

This is how sustainable change takes root.

This is how you create a business that’s calm, clear, and scalable.
