4 Signs Your Brand Voice Isn’t Built for Growth

Spoiler alert, if your brand wants to scale but your messaging still sounds like it’s stuck in 2019...it’s not your audience that’s changed, it's you. I mean, maybe your audience changed too. Anything is possible. And if that’s the case, you need my help.

When your frequency as a brand/company evolves, you need to change your messaging to match. That’s how you stay in alignment. That’s how you remain authentic. That is how you resonate.

Here’s the 4 signs

Here are some clues it's time for a messaging upgrade:

1. Your copy feels stuck and safe, even with rewrites

  • If you’ve ever said, “it’s fine” when referring to the copy you approved, I promise you it is not fine. It’s boring and it’s costing you lads.

2. Campaigns are fine, but not unforgettable

  • If you do not resonate with your audience, they won’t trust you enough to buy from you.

3. You’re using words that don’t feel like yours anymore

  • If you’ve changed, your words should change too.

4. You have a high turnover with copywriters (you think they don't get it, but they are not the problem

  • If you put handcuffs on your copywriters even the best won’t stick around.

The truth? Growth requires more than positioning.

It requires language that evolves with you.

If your copy is out of alignment with your newly evolved energy, your audience can feel it. And it will give them the ick, even if they can't explain why.

So what should you do now?

Hire me. Obviously, that is the solution. You can start with a galactic brand voice audit. That will tell you where the misalignment is coming from.

If you want free advice, look at your own analytics. Do some social media listening. Talk to your sales reps and customer service folks. They know the questions your target audience has and they know the language they use.
